His Holiness, The Most Reverend (Dr.) Rufus Okikiola Olubiyi Ositelu (Ph-D) is the Metropolitan Arch Bishop and incumbent Primate of Church of the Lord (Aladura, Worldwide).
He was elected President, World Council of Churches (WCC) for Africa Region by delegates at the 11th WCC General Assembly on Monday September 5, 2022 in Karlsruhe, Germany.
The Primate who clocked 70 last year is never a man of the ‘fast lane’ generation even though he studied Computer Science in Germany and also a PhD holder in the discipline.
The Primate is also a PhD Holder in Religious Studies.
He is a damn good reader, writer and author of several religious and secular books. His famous book, “Christianity: Inside Story from an African Perspective” is a leading intellectual inspection on Christian Interdenominational liturgy and traditional doctrine.
However, he is of the old ‘do-it-right generation.
The 4th Primate of the Church of The Lord, Aladura is a voracious reader, writer and thinker.
You will think that will encumber his ecumenical and ecclesiastical activities as the Supreme leader of one of the oldest indigenous African Churches in the world but NO, he is graced with the ability to blend both literary and spiritual activities in one zeal.
On Tuesday, May 16 Year 2023, Asabe Afrika TV had a special audience with the Primate at his Ogere, Ogun State (South Western Nigeria) International Secretariat.
The new President of the World Council of Churches (WCC) African Region and holder of the Transparency Africa Honors Awards by Transparency Africa who just returned from some local and international assignments in Europe and Africa was in his very best element as he spoke to us on the strength of the 2023 Nigerian Presidential Election, Tinubu’s victory, Atiku’s loss, Peter Obi’s recovery and role of General Olusegun Obasanjo in the economic downturn of Nigeria.
The well traveled, self enlightened and highly rational Christian leader of one of Africa’s oldest African initiated churches shared his belief on his concept of a New Nigeria.
Primate Ositelu who took over the leadership of the church in 1998 after the demise of his elder brother and 3rd Primate of The Church of The Lord, Aladura, the late Primate Gabriel Olusegun Ositelu has been severally acknowledged as one of world’s most transparent Christian leader from Nigeria and by extension, Africa hence his appointment as WCC Leader in Africa.
He is the 4th Primate of the 98 years old church which was founded by his father, Prophet and Superintendent-General (Dr.) Josiah Olunowo Ositelu of blessed memory in1925.

Talking thrash
Half knowledge is a Problem
This man is praising Ashiwaju, which is normal ? I don't think Ashiwaju will listening to any thrash. Ashiwaju please give this man a good contract in Abuja.
It was Jonathan that constructed the railway lines.
It was the security challenges that he had that didn't allow him to commission any of the things that he did.
And which scarce resources were they talking about?
Anyway! God is!seeing all of us
They know what to do sir, only corruption has blindfolded them
Are you saying this sir, before the election or after the election. Asiwaju is Muslim/ muslim ticket. Pls Asabe do not fall into these trap
The best president in this country that i have ever known is President Musa Yaradua, and after him, i haven't seen any president till now, i hope Tinubu will do better
Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi destroyed Nigeria's democratic system in the first republic. That really affected Western Nigeria Government's economic prosperity under the leadership of Awolowo. Don't forget that all the mentioned feats (First Television Station, WBC, Free Education, Ilupeju Industrial Project et al) were as a result of Awolowo's economic plans. The Southwest is the most affected of all region, they destroyed our economic success in the name of one Nigeria. We pray that Yoruba Nation comes sooner, so that we can go back to our economic glory, strength and growth.
I hear a lot of sentiments here
Sşr,with due respect, don't mention that as a yard stick when he failed woefully to stop his tribes from killing ,kidnapping and taking over other people's land everywhere without any actions and you called him as the best president. I don't want to believe you that you took bribes from Buhari. It's unfortunate that we would see among our people that would glorify buhari even in the face of intimidations fromhis kinsmen tii date.. Na wa for you sir oooo. He failed in security and when there is no security ,what else are you talking about?
