RCCG Exodus: Why Pastor Adeboye Shouldn’t have sacked Gideon Bakare — Pastor Sam Omodele

In this new encounter with Asabe Afrika TV, gifted Nigerian field Evangelist, Prophet-Pastor SAM OMODELE, he gave insights into recent pastoral dis-engagements from the Redeemed Christian Church both home and abroad and why the church must restrain itself from over-flogging offenders.

On the recent sex scandal involving a Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor in Akure, Ondo State (South West Nigeria), Pastor Gideon Bakare, Prophet Omodele believed the church could have been lenient enough to forgive the embattled man of God.

He reacted to more issues on the church and other Christian related matters in this clip.

  1. This so called 'pastor' should go and repent or maybe he is about to give his life or maybe he has given his life and taken it back!
So, is he saying that a so called man of God who professed to have known the Lord and still dwelling in secret sin, caught in the very act, bringing reproach upon the name of the living God should be pampered?
In summary, let us agree that whatever is bad has no other name but truly bad!

  2. To whom little is given, little is expected.
To whom much is given, much is expected.
To whom all is given, all will be expected.
God has not given any man of God, all.
Pastors, GOs, Bishops are human beings as well, prone to any struggle that the congregation is dealing with.

  3. Was Pastor Gideon expelled from the church? Am sure he went through the Bible college to know what is expected of a pastor, he was simply relieved of his pastor position as he had betrayed it and told he is more than welcome to be a floor member of the church but not holding any position of authority.

  4. Pastoral duty is a position of responsibility and accountability. Men / women of God are different from you and I because they have been charged as role models, examples of how people should live their lives and expected to follow the tenet of Christianity even if I cannot. So if you know you don't have principles or you have weakness, what are you doing leading others? What do you mean that, we should not judge? So a harlot should become a prophetess and still continue in that sinful way and, she should still continue to lead? The truth is, people lack the discipline to be a true follower of Christ and they are in the business for the sheer comfort, financial and social benefits therein. Pastors have lost focus ….you talk out of flesh. Remember the missionaries that brought the religion to us, they shun all forms of worldly comfort to serve humanity. O jebi, o ba rape somebody….idiots.

  5. Good morning sir, this is the Genesis of denominational churches it will be worst than this.
A situation where another pastor said a man caught on sexual act out of marriage should remain a pastor, the bible forbid it,tradition forbid it,it means both of them have same spirit is the spirit in a man that control a man ok.THE CHURCH IS FALLING APART.DENOMINATION IS OF THE DEVIL GOD IS NOT DENOMINATED AND GOD IS NOT IN DENOMINATION.

  6. Calm down Prophet, there are some things you said that are good but concerning the issue of sexual abuse either in the church or anywhere by pastors, if there is law or constitution already written for the church to follow, anyone that breaks the law will surely face the consequences. The Bible says that shall we continue in sin that grace may abound. God forbid. Romans 6:1-2.
