The Great Music Legend who started his career fully in 1963 has released over 1000 ever green songs that are not only philosophical but of self enlightening value to his legion of fans across the world.

He clocked 77 on April 3rd, 2019 and it was celebrated with pomp and celebration as a road in Ogun State, his state of birth in South West region of Nigeria was named after him (Ilaro-Idogo Expressway).

His community, Idogo, equally witnessed a massive celebration of over 10 Nigerian Gospel artistes who set the town ‘ablaze’ with a 7 hours, 7 minutes Praise and Worship rendition. The team was led by famous Nigerian Gospel Act, Pastor Adelakun aka Ayewa International.

Evangelist OBEY equally donated a building structure to the Nigeria Civil Defense Corps among many other amenities as part of his philanthropic gesture (find videos on this channel).

In an exclusive chat inside his Ikeja, Lagos (South Western Nigeria) home, the father, grand father and band leader extraordinary shared the story of his greatness from an ordinary Idogo (a train station town) boy to an international artiste of repute.
