AMINKANLE COMMUNITY is a fast rising town in the Agbado-Oke Odo LCDA area of Lagos State (South Western Nigeria).
The community which has enjoyed unusual development in the last past 5 years especially during the leadership of His Excellency, Governor AKINWUNMI AMBODE (AMBO) as Governor of Lagos State between year 2015 and 2019 suddenly became a cluster of beehive of commercial, cultural and political attention as the hardworking Governor opened over 22 new roads in Lagos inner towns.
Under the Governor Ambode regime, Amikanle rapidly developed into a mini mega town where everybody jostled to have a taste of the new town.
The town is named after the first Baale and Supreme leader of Awori origin, Late CHIEF YUSSUF OGUNDARE aka Amikanle-Bi-Ibon.
In Year 2021, a new era suddenly emerged which further catapulted and made the town soar further. This was the beginning of the reign of the HIGH CHIEF AKEEM AYOADE OLADEJO (Aje Oguguluso 1) and the Alamikanle of Amikanle land who was equally the erstwhile Otunba and Baba Oja of Amikanle.
High Chief Akeem Ayoade Oladejo the Aje Oguguluso 1 is a man duly loved by his subjects and tomorrow, August 22 will mark the celebration of his Second Year anniversary on the throne.
Between August 22 and 26th, there will be several socio-cultural activities to mark the Second Year anniversary and coronation of the Aje Oguguluso 1 of Amikanle Land.
In these two hours no-hold barred, Asabe Afrika TV team met and spoke with High Chief Akeem Ayoade Oladejo on his rise from childhood to prominence in the traditional institution and how traditional leadership is aiding political and socio-cultural development in his domain.
In this PART 2 of the two hours exclusive encounter, the traditional ruler of Amikanle land spoke on reasons why IFA TRADITIONAL RELIGION is sacrosanct as a complimentary faith with the Christian and Islam Religion.
He also revealed secrets of his one-man-one-wife policy and why he does not believe in polygamy or taking a woman as gift.
