WEDNESDAY March 29th of Year 2023, Asabe Afrika TV team visited United Grammar School, Ode-Irele, Ondo State (South Western Nigeria) during a two days visit to the historic town.
UNITED GRAMMAR SCHOOL was founded on Friday 26th of February Year 1965. The school clocked 58 Years last February.
The School which is adjudged the most Agricultural friendly institution in Ondo state was originally conceived as a Girl’s learning institution when it was established 58 Years ago. Chief T.O. Oyebade was the pioneer Principal but several years later the institution metamorphosed into a unisex learning center.
UNITED GRAMMAR SCHOOL, Ebute Irele has produced great Nigerians of all walks of life who worked at several institutions like Central Bank of Nigeria, World Bank and other related global and local organizations.
Under the leadership of MR. AKINMEJI ADENIJI, the 9th Principal of the school and his team, United Grammar School is forging ahead in churning out quality but affordable education for young leaders of tomorrow courtesy a virile administrative atmosphere under the leadership of His Excellency, ARAKUNRIN (DR.) ROTIMI AKEREDOLU as Governor of the oil rich Ondo state.
Ode-Irele is the administrative Head Quarters for Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State. The town is located ten kilometers to Okiti-Pupa where the Nigerian Army 19 Battalion, Naquora Barrack is situated.
The Paramount ruler of Ode-Irele is His Royal Majesty (HRM) Oba Olanrewaju Lebi, the Olofun of Ode-Irele Kingdom. He is a first class traditional ruler. He is from the Oyenusi ruling house of the kingdom
