The twin evil vices of bad customer relations and fraudulent managerial practices synonymous with one of Nigeria’s leading power distribution companies, IKEJA ELECTRIC must have been the portion of residents of DELE-ORISABIYI Street, Okota in the Lagos West Senatorial zone in the last three and a half years as Asabe Afrika TV found out during a recent visit to the neighborhood.
The community presently under the infamous obnoxious estimated billing regime of IKEJA ELECTRIC, Oshodi Undertaking office has equally went through several resolution mechanism bids including the infamous NERC forum which yielded no result as their misery grew from one level to the other.
To ease the burden on the neck of the Service Provider, the residents took a step ahead and bought a multi-million Naira transformer and installed on May 6th, 2019 but until Tuesday, November 3, year 2020 when Asabe Afrika TV visited the community, the transformer is yet to be installed with spider cobwebs and dust gathering momentum on the transformer.
During our investigation and from several correspondences gleaned by this channel, it appears that Dele-Orisabiyi Street is a cash-crow for some nefarious and fraudulent staff of Ikeja Electric who might have decided to put the neighborhood under a perpetual regime of fraudulent estimated billing system and conscientious act of psychological hara-kiri.
