A month
after he organized the first of its kind talent hunt in Surulere tagged
“Surulere Got Talents”, Surulere born chattered accountant and social analyst, Lukmon Oyewole Lawal aka LOL gathered a
team of medical experts last week Thursday November 27th to treat
over 200 indigene of his constituency in a free medical program where residents
were treated of cardiovascular ailments, glaucoma, hepatitis B and other
related ailments.
There was also Dental Screening, Health and Nutritional talk
among other activities. The event which took place at the APC secretariat at
Silver crescent Surulere had prominent members of the party Exco in attendance.

Lukman
Oyewole Lawal, an orphan and last son of a former Islamic cleric is one of
the four aspirants vying for the Surulere
Constituency 1 seat at the Lagos state house of assembly come 2015. He is
one of the big contenders to Nollywood actor Desmond Olusola Elliot and business man Fuad Kayode Laguda’s dream of representing the constituency at the
Lagos state house of assembly come 2015. On Sunday October 19, LOL as fondly called by his lovers
organized a talent hunt for over two hundred Surulere youths at the Teslim Balogun stadium where over 15
finalists were picked and 3 winners emerged in dancing, singing and
choreography and won talent sums ranging from half a million naira to a hundred
thousand naira for career development.

To the glory of God the presentation has 80% of pictures and it connected with people that are educated and the ones that are not educated and my popularity soared so high with that singular innovation”

social-service oriented with over four programs solely organized by him in the

stalwarts, the 38 years aspirant who lost his father at age 7 and his mother at
age 17 gave a life time achievement award to Jakande for his indelible marks in the area of mass education and
social housing for Lagosians during his rule as governor.

politician said “Well, precisely he is trying his best on the level of change
and taking care of people. I believe we need his type of person in government
and I want to advise him to continue with his great ideas of helping people at
the lowest rung of society. God will bless him because he is trying his best on
different types of initiatives. I wish him the best of luck,”

what is going on and I was told, I never had that kind of opportunity before

I quickly made use of the opportunity and that was how I was lucky to be a
beneficiary. I have been tested and I have been advised on how to live a

far, it was very eventful and for the first time with every sense of modesty
and responsibility, we were able to do things that are first of its kind in
Surulere. One is Surulere got talents which we did on the 19th of

occasion and I was marveled at the kind of positive encomiums that was poured
on the person of my late father, he was an Ansar-U-Deen missioner and that has
demonstrated to me that no matter how many houses, how many cars, how much of
cash, that a good name is the greatest of all legacies and according to the
late African statesman, Nelson Mandella,
it always seems so impossible until it is done, and that poverty is manmade and
it is only through the action of man that it can be stopped. My mission is to
redefine governance; to improve education, improve health care and feed well.
