Last Saturday May 31st, London trained health expert Mrs. Kikelomo Ibironke Ajibade staged the maiden edition of her wine tasting event in Lagos, South West Nigeria. The event which had the presence of eminent Nigerians in attendance held at The Regent by 25 Joel Ogunnaike Street, GRA Ikeja-Lagos.
The event powered by AnnMarie Wine World, owned by Ajibade had in attendance the likes of former NFA Chairman and member, Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Mr. Anthony Kojo Williams, former Deputy Director, Bureau of Public Enterprise (BPE) Barrister (Mrs.) SafiyaOmosholape Demola Seriki, Managing Director/CEO, Virgin Outdoor Ltd and former Thisday Style Editor Mr. Kunle Hamilton, Famous female talking drummer and Entertainment Icon, Aralola Olumuyiwa aka Ara, Entertainment Consultant and Dancing queen, Tessy Alero Yembra among other dignitaries.

Mrs. Kike Ajibade who is the winner of the prestigious City People Awards for Excellenceentrepreneur of the year 2012 said the event was designed to unveil new series of her wine brands which includes the newly discovered organic wine which is now the vogue for global wine connoisseurs who cares for extra-ordinary health benefits of wine consumption.; “As you can see, this is an atmosphere where buffs and greenhorns sits together to learn a thing or the other about quality wine drinking, It is all about wine and health benefit” Ajibade explained to this blog in a very lively manner.

The organizers, Ann Marie Wine World later unveiled various other brands in a “Taste the wine, like the wine and buy the wine” bazaar. Some of the quality wine series that were unveiled at the event includes the 2012 edition of Aragus Exclusive aka Vino Ecologico, the 2012 edition of VinaTemprana, a Spanish wine for first-rate leisure and a recent edition of Chagnon 2012 from Boudreaux press, one of world’s most respected wine presses in France. However, the masked product of the day remains the newly discovered organic wine series recently produced in Europe with great demand across Western and Eastern Europe.

Guests who had the benefits of tasting the brand all agreed that it was a much safer brand for the sake of its non preservatives nature. Some of the guests who spoke with asabeafrika believe that in a world where everything chemical is now attached to cancer and other related diseases, the need for organic wine as offered by Ann Marie is highly welcomed. Mrs. Ajibade echoed her guests take on the newly discovered organic wine brand “Our emphasis had always been on healthy living and whatever will guarantee healthy living is what we recommend for our people. The world is running away from chemicals and embracing organic foods at the moment; we have gone round Europe to find for our consumers the best of the best and this new wine series is what we are giving to Africa and Africans and not until you have a tasted it like we are doing right now, you will never know the worth of what we are offering connoisseurs and greenhorns”
Famous music act, Yemi Sax lighted the atmosphere with Jazz music as celebrities had lots of fast finger meals, drinks amidst purchase and networking.
