Buhari, Sunday Igboho & How I was sacked as 1st Nigeria Air force Pilot = Pa G.O. Olorunshola

He is a member of the generation that saw the beautiful early start of the country called Nigeria and perhaps, unlucky to be seeing the ugly side at the moment.

When PA GEOFFREY OLUJIMI OLORUNSHOLA, the first Nigerian trained Air Force Pilot returned to the country recently, he was more than happy to relate his life experience to Asabe Afrika TV when we ran into him at a trusted son and clergy’s place in Lagos Nigeria, West Africa.

The Ondo State born elder statesman revealed quite a lot about the inequality in the Nigerian state among many other issues.

Bitter with the way Nigeria treated him in the 60s as the first trained Air force pilot, Pa Olorunshola is now afraid for his children and grand children.

He relocated to the United States of America to train as an Engineer after himself and other officers of Southern Nigeria identity were allegedly removed from the Nigerian Air Force in the 60s.

He later returned to Nigeria to take up a job with SHELL PETROEUM and worked for 15 years as Instrumentation and Control System Engineer before finally relocating to the United States of America to raise his family.

In this exclusive, he spoke on President Buhari’s rule, Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho’s self rule agitation and why Western Nigeria need to wake up.

He gave kudos to late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo for opening the minds of many through free education policy of his era.
