Funny things today’s Nollywood acts do that baffles old actors — Actor, Oloye Ajere

In this red exclusive with Asabe Afrika TV, renowned Yoruba Nollywood actor, CHIEF BASIRU ISHOLA aka Oloye Ajere spoke about his humble beginning and how his industry lost the old glory of quality script-writing, storyline and acting later became an every dick-tom-and-harry affair.

The very gifted thespian who have acted in several movies of the 80s and 90s came hard on the up and coming actors and actresses who now run after weird fame and money without hard work and innovation, he warned them that such beliefs and orientation of ‘fast wealth’ or ‘fast-lane’ could lead to perdition in the very end.

The Iseyin Osun state South Western Nigeria born veteran equally revealed his Islamic scholar side of his personality and how he abandoned his Islamic activities for acting.

  1. Evergreen Oloye Ajere. I love this man and his Ara Oke accent. Gbenga showed better interviewing skills with Oloye. A stark difference to his interviews in English with the likes of Prophet Tibetan. This is a clue as to where his best skills lie. Well done, son.
