In this Red Exclusive Interview with Asabe Afrika TV, renowned Yoruba #Nollywood Actor, CHIEF BASIRU ISHOLA aka Oloye Ajere of Yanponyanrin fame spoke extensively about the ills facing the movie industry and why the industry is facing challenges.
The very gifted actor and Islamic scholar narrated in pain, some of the problems that led to the death of cinema, video clubbing and the business of movie production.
Chief Ajere pointed to ‘lack of electricity’ as the number one culprit that led to the death of quality movie production among other vices.
He used the opportunity to blame politicians for their corruption of ideas and political will to correct the ills facing the sector.
