MKO Abiola had 77 kids — Brother, Tunde Abiola | Says “IBB was never a benefactor of Abiola’s family”

Late MKO Abiola

Engineer Tunde Abiola who is
the Secretary of the Abiola family of Abeokuta, Ogun State (South West Nigeria)
is one of those who spoke on the suspension of the late Alhaji Mubashiru Abiola who
died on Friday October 2nd, of 2015 and why the family took the
step.  Tunde Abiola widely known as Baba
Agba
is a United State of America trained Engineer.  His interview and reaction to the claim by
late Uncle Bashy that General Babangida
is a “Pillar of the Family” two years ago is hereby re-produced by Asabeafrika. Enjoy the excerpts

Kola Abiola…Scion of MKO Abiola’s dynasty

As the Secretary of the larger Abiola
family, how do you react to the general submission made by your elder brother,
Alhaji Mubashiru Abiola that IBB has been your pillar in the last twenty years?

It is not a
surprise to me because we gathered that IBB often give our brother some money
for compensation to launder his image and save him from all the bad things he
has done to our family. We can’t romance IBB, he didn’t just kill our bread
winner he equally killed the dream of Nigerians. And the Bashiru we are talking about, I was the one that introduced him to IBB. I did that on one condition. And
the condition was that the family had three questions for IBB on why he did
what he did to Abiola, that was why
I took Bashy to Minna to ask those questions and when he failed to do so, I did.
Being the secretary to the family, I had to ask him those questions and he
refused to answer those questions.
“The Babangida I know can not feed his enemy. Babangida doesn’t have any plan to assist Abiola family. He is doing what he is doing to MKO Abiola family for a purpose. The purpose is known to only him.
We have never received a kobo from Babangida to survive in this family”

Tunde Abiola to Asabeafrika…’MKO has 77 Kids’

Can you let us know those questions?

Number one,
I asked him ‘why did you annulled June 12?’, I couldn’t reveal the answer for
that question then but now I can reveal the answer to that question. I couldn’t
do that then because Obasanjo was on
the throne. And I can say that was the only question he answered me out of the
three I had for him. And because of the sensitivity of that question, I
couldn’t say the answer out since then. I asked him, ‘why did you annul June
12?’ he told me and Allah is my witness,
and he said to us, Allah that he believes, not on Mara donna level o,
are you listening to me?. He said to us that the people that annul June 12 are
the one ruling now (Under Obasanjo’s reign) which is Obasanjo’s regime. I asked
him, ‘who killed MKO?’, He said ‘I don’t know’. Lastly, ‘what is the
relationship between you and Kola because
we are hearing that he want to marry your daughter?’ he replied again ‘I don’t
know. I don’t have anything to say about that’.
That was his submissions to us then. So, when I read the news and heard
that ‘Babangida is our pillar’,
Babangida
can never be a pillar to Abiola’s
family
because our stand can never change. We reason the same way Nigerian
people are reasoning on Babangida’s issue. So, how can IBB be a pillar of
Abiola family? Maybe, he is a pillar of MKO
Abiola’s family
, which is very known to people that Babangida as the prince of the Niger romances with several of MKO Abiola’s wives. He has access to children
of same wives and does anything he likes with them. Not Kudirat’s children; Kudirat
Abiola’s
children has anything to do with IBB; they can never have anything
to do with IBB because they know what IBB did to their mother and father. They
made a comprehensive sacrifice.

Late Kudirat Abiola
“Several of them have been calling
me, every year, they graduate from different discipline at different
universities across the world and every thing is so open to everybody. MKO’s
children are doing well. The ones that are not eating from Babangida are doing well”.

Is there any solution in sight since
the larger family has now decided to de-robe Mr. Bashy Abiola as head of the
family?
Before we
talk about the unity of the family, we will need to tell the whole world our
stand on Bashiru’s issue. We held a meeting which lasted till midnight (June 13th-14th)
at my house in Lagos with large number of family members and our resolution is
to demote Alhaji Bashiru as head of
the family. Anybody should not reckon with him, the government should not grant
appointment with him. If the Federal Government wants to seek an appointment
with the family, they should see the larger family. Not MKO family or Abiola family alone.
The two should be consulted. There should be representative from both parties
before the meeting can be authoritative. And I want to make a categorical
statement that Alhaji Bashiru can not be the head of the
estate of late Chief MKO Abiola
because Kola Abiola is the head of the MKO Abiola dynasty; Kola is our
crown prince. Weather he is doing wrong or he is doing right, he is our blood.
We must keep tolerating him until he gets on with maturity. And I am sure my
nephew, Kola Abiola is not happy
with Alhaji Bashiru’s accidental
statement.

The Late Alhaji Mubashiru Abiola aka Uncle Bashy

After the Minna meeting you had with
Babangida, did he gave you any largesse to share among yourselves? I mean the
family?

The Babangida I know can not feed his
enemy. Babangida doesn’t have any
plan to assist Abiola family. He is
doing what he is doing to MKO Abiola
family for a purpose. The purpose is known to only him. We have never received
a kobo from Babangida to survive in this family. We the paternal family are the
one that felt the pain of the death of MKO. The other family uses the situation
as luxury. They collect money from all sorts of interests and announce that the
money is for the larger family so that the amount will be hefty, if they ask
individually, they may give them a token but when you say it is a collective
demand, they will be given large money and they just sit on it and move on. So,
we are the one feeling the pain.
Obasanjo
Talking about a solution in sight,
the family is so large and we have children at home and in Diaspora, how is it
going to be easy for you to sue for peace?
It is a
gradual process, we once had a golden opportunity but it was wasted on the
platform of ego. We are a loving family, the children are doing well. Several
of them have been calling me, every year, they graduate from different
discipline at different universities across the world and every thing is so
open to everybody. MKO’s children are doing well. The ones that are not eating
from Babangida are doing well.

How many have been confirmed by the
DNA test?
MKO has 77
children and I can say the DNA is not an authentic one. They did it to suit
their own purpose and I was equally told that they did not even use MKO’s blood
for the DNA. So the DNA is not authentic. It is fake. It was a malicious
strategy to continue to stifle the freedom of the real will.
