The Month of July is the month retired Nigerian Army Officer, Architect, Scholar and Administrator, Major General (Dr.) SAM MOMAH (CFR, Ph-D, Mni, fwc) celebrates his birthday.
He was born on 6th July, 1943 in Zungeru Niger State (Northern Nigeria) and of Igbo parenthood from Anambra State (Eastern Nigeria).
Penultimate Year 2018, General Sam Momah a two time Nigerian Minister of Science and Technology and pioneer Commandant of Nigeria’s Army War College clocked 75 and he commemorated the event with the launching of two books that seems to be a political interventionist scheme for Nigeria’s fragile democracy.
The General who has written more than 12 books and a nationalist of high repute, launched his 11th and 12th book ”PULLING NIGERIA OFF THE BRINK (The Rescue Imperatives)” and ”RESTRUCTURING NIGERIA BEYOND OIL” at the prestigious Shehu Yar Adua Center, Abuja on Saturday July 7, 2018.
General Sam Momah can be described as a credible interventionist in the trajectory of nation building. He has always intervened with policy direction and analysis through his periodic publication of books to advance the quality of democracy and nation building.
Momah, a soldier and gentle man intervenes with books on nation building, technological advancement and economic renaissance to liberate the country from the pangs of mystery and poverty.
The General who is the pioneer Director of National War College, Abuja, has held several position of authority in the country including; Adjutant General of the Nigeria Army, Commander; Army Training and Doctrine Command and academic appointments like; Council Member of the University of Jos and Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka as well as the Vice President, Third World Academy of Science (Italy)
Yesterday, JULY 6, 2020, the General clocked SEVEN DECADES, SEVEN YEARS on Planet Earth and we celebrate him with this video!
