couple in Nigeria to look for Sammie’s contact
in the US and after several calls to high places, a very reliable family friend
of the couple got the contact across to this blog.

we called her at exactly 3:50 pm (Nigerian Time) on Saturday, it was a very
happy and joyous Sammie Peters who
picked the receiver with her characteristic laugh and hearty posture “Dan, how are you and how is Nigeria? I
am sure you people are already disturbed over the story on the net? I am hale
and hearty, everything is under control” (Laughing with full enthusiasm
displayed on phone) she continued “We are equally surprised here because the
whole thing was blown out of proportion but I am very okay and ready to hit
home soon”. Sammie handed the phone
to her husband who was beside her at the time we called and his voice came “Gbenga, thanks for calling to find out.
As you have heard, your aunty is very fine here; we are presently at home now
and I can tell you everything is under control” the Afro Juju Music Creator and
MTN ambassador said with a tone wrapped with enthusiasm

The
couple who spoke with us for six minutes
fifty two seconds gave a hint of
what actually transpired confirming that the issue was not as big as bloggers
in Nigeria made it look like. They were surprised as to how the issue of an
early discovery suddenly turned into a monster news hireling across blogs.
“I was never hospitalized for a day;
talks less of being bedridden. I take my medications from home and right now, I
am hale and hearty. I am very happy that you called, a lot of people equally

the Afro Juju Music Lord described the news as ‘overblown out of proportion’ “Gbenga, your sister is okay, we thank
God the storm is over. Yes, there was a discovery but everything is normal at
the moment because we took a quick step and brought it under control”

further, Sammie Peters told this
blog that her situation is not as worse as people made it look like “I think
the best thing for us is to just thank God; if you discover it (Cancer) early,
it is easy to stop it at once. That is what we have done. Right now it is under
control. I thank God for giving me and my husband the right discretion to take
step in time”
speculations that she has been bedridden for months, the mother of Clinton Peters said although she has
been out of Nigeria since August 2014 but was never bedridden for a day.
Reacting with laughter to the question Sammie

Sammie Peters who is the founder of Intellect
Stars International Schools in Abule Egba Area of Lagos, South West
Nigeria said cancer as it were is not a death
sentence but a duty call to
better awareness in terms of general health. She further unveiled her new plan
to this blog “My decision when I return home is to establish a foundation that
will create awareness among our women. I am already doing the research here and
I think early detection is the best strategy that can nip it in the bud. With
the right information at the right time, cancer can always be taken out. This
experience has given me the opportunity to know a lot which I think will be
beneficial to legion of women in Nigeria. I will return to start a foundation
because cancer can be cured if detected early” noted the educationist
enjoying one of the most auspicious numbers in his second album Shinamania
“Agan” which was dedicated to her by her husband some years ago when
she was looking for the fruit of the womb to commemorate their marriage which
took place in 1995. She later gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, Clinton Peters
after ten years of marriage to her husband. She had the child at age 41.
Although Sammie had three issues (2 Girls, One boy) from an early marriage and
she is presently a grand mother.
