Chrisgate Charges Youths To Be “Smart” at 10th Annual Success Summit

As
part of efforts to encourage hard work and diligence as a path to success, Chrisgate
Motivational Network, a subsidiary of Chrisgate International, recently held
the 10th edition of Success Summit for students preparing for the upcoming
Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The summit held at the
Lagos centre of the organization.

Themed
‘Be Smart’, the summit attracted over 2, 000 students as well as various
stakeholders including; Associate Professor, Department of Accounting and
Finance, Lagos State University, Dr Kehinde James, Managing Director ValuePlus
International, Mr Tolulope Ahmed, Director of Sales, Envirofit International,
Mr Biodun Olaore, Managing Director Drug Consult Pharmacy, Charles Oyeniyi,
Managing Partner, EquiTrust Advocates and Solicitors, Barrister Kayode Aderemi
, President Chrisgate International, Mr Christopher Alabi and other
dignitaries.
Speaking at the summit, President Chrisgate International, Mr.
Christopher Alabi disclosed that, the summit which started ten years ago is
part of the organization’s corporate social responsibility plan to give
back to the community and a way of encouraging hard work and diligence in the
quest to achieve success. It is also a way to impact our society positively.
Mr. Alabi added that, ‘”We understand the importance of education
to national development, and also identify the setback caused by examination malpractice
and how it has affected the crop of professionals in Nigeria. This is why
we have over the years brought together over 2000 students preparing
for UTME to enlighten them on the need to study hard to pass their
examinations without seeking for any help as this will form the foundation for
their chosen career”.
Barrister Kayode Aderemi in his presentation titled ‘Success is your
birthright’, identified various underlying principles for success which when
applied properly will give students a push from being an average learner to an
excellent student. He encouraged the participants to have their hands on the
set goals which must come from hard work and self-motivation.
Dr Kehinde James who spoke on ‘Education System in Nigeria, Rising or Falling’,
challenged the government and education stakeholders to brace up their game to
achieve the desired development in the educational system in Nigeria.

Biodun Olaore in his submission on ‘Career with Purpose’, applauded
Chrisgate motivational network for the huge investment the company is
contributing to education in Nigeria. He called on other organisations to
emulate the gesture to students at this level as he enjoined the students to be
hard working and focused. He further enjoined them to neglect malpractices as
they prepare for the future.
