Family honors Dr. Claudius Mofolorunso Olubode’s 25th Remembrance with Hymnal Service

Come Sunday
26th of July 2015, family of late Chief (Dr.) Claudius Mofolorunso Olubode will be inviting people
from all walks all life to the 25th year’s remembrance of their
great father.
The event
which is going to be marked with a communal hymn singing program at St. Williams’ Memorial Methodist Cathedral
at Ago-Ijaiye, Ebute Metta, Lagos
will also be an opportunity for family, friends and well wishers to review the
good works of the late business man and community leader who was a
philanthropist in his life time.

A cream of
Methodist Church of Nigeria Diocesan heads will be filling in for the event
which promises to be unique and interesting. Penultimate Sunday morning, some
children of the deceased visited his grave in Ogun state, South West Nigeria to
lay wreath on it with supplications to God to continue to bless his departed
soul.

“Everybody has his or her own story
to tell, behind the curtains of every life spent on earth, there are activities
that characterizes such a life either for good or bad”.

 
One of his
daughters Mrs. Adejuwon in a brief
chat with Asabeafrika described Baba as “a loving, kind and compassionate
man while alive”. On what the event portend for Nigerians who are expected to
grace the Hymnal Service, Mrs. Adejuwon said
“Everybody has his or her own story to tell, behind the curtains of every life
spent on earth, there are activities that characterizes such a life either for
good or bad. In Baba’s own case, he lived for good, he lived a life worthy of
emulation and anyone that cares to attend our hymnal service for him will get
to know more about him as we intend to unveil a 25 years unedited documentary
of his life and times to the public” claimed Mrs. Adejuwon who is the Vice Chairman, Scooba Security Doors Ltd, West Africa.
The event
which will take place inside the church auditorium is slated for 3pm.
