Through
the governor claimed that he suspended the council Chairman due to their
inability to pay staff Salaries and alleged diversion of funds among others, City
People learnt that the governor decided to suspend them apparently to
punish them for being loyal to the Deputy Governor and to frustrate the
Governorship aspiration of the deputy governor. It was learnt that rather than
support his deputy who have been loyal to him over the years, the governor
opted to support one of his commissioners for the Edo 2016 governorship.
