How EBENEZER OBEY visited Motherless Home, Leper Colony to pray for Nigeria & Honor the Poor @ 81

Veteran Musician and Juju Music Legend, Chief Commander Evangelist (Professor) Ebenezer OBEY Fabiyi (MFR) received an overwhelming show of love from friends, family members, colleagues and other well-wishers last Monday, April 3rd, Year 2023 when he clocked 81.

Leading the pack of dignitaries who celebrated the Music Guru at 81 is President Muhammadu Buhari, President and Commander-In-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who wrote a pleasant tribute eulogizing the credibility of Evangelist Obey’s music in 66 years of professionalism, describing it as an impactful global career with ever green signature tunes from the 50s down to the millennium year 2000.

President Buhari in a letter signed by Presidential Spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina described OBEY who is fondly called “Chief Commander” as a vital force in the blossoming Nigerian musical industry since he started out at age 15, bringing a fusion of juju and highlife into his musical band called “International Brothers” which he established in 1964 and later metamorphosed to “International Reformers” in the 70s.

President Buhari described the 81 Years old Juju Music legend as a sharer of knowledge, good works and charity through his legacy works for younger musicians in Nigeria.

In this new video, the highly philosophical music legend humbled himself by visiting a motherless home and a leper colony on his 81st birthday to offer his substance and creativity to honor the poorest of the society by making their day bountiful with gift of music, motivation and food stuffs.

The Chief Commander turned Evangelist of Jesus Christ surprised the young children at Stella Obasanjo Motherless Home Abeokuta and the Elega Clinic (Leper Colony) when he stormed the two venues with his full musical band and offered words of encouragement and entertainment to brighten their mood and assured them of his moral support.

It was a rare occasion as the celebrant instilled a new sense of societal belonging in the lives of the ordinary people at the lowest rung of the society.

Ebenezer OBEY rendered several of his ever green tracks at the two encounters.
