JIDE CHORD (Jide Akinwunmi) is an epitome of creativity. Since he left Nigeria in the late 80s for the United Kingdom (UK), the Ibadan, Oyo State born, (He is from Abeokuta, Ogun State by parenthood) has re-created a brand new entertainment sector in the black community in Diaspora.
He is one of the few souls who got into entertainment business with a head full of ideas and a school degree. Jide Chord started his career as a Journalist with PUNCH Newspaper before going into Public Relations, Banking and finally, Music.
His antecedent as a Choir Master in his local church (Celestial Church of Christ) soon became an asset that set him apart and gave him a niche as he started a musical band in London while still working in other departments of the society.
His band, London Merry Makers Band soon redefined JUJU Music and became the delight of many high profile Nigerians, Africans and Caucasians in the Diaspora community as the British Art Council equally engaged JIDE CHORD in so many local and foreign events.
Since then, he grew in leaps and bounds and soon became a household name both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
He has released couple of albums with FESTIVAL OF LOVE being his most celebrated album.
Now settled in Nigeria, the Juju Music maestro and creator of JUJU LAMBADA opened up to Asabe Afrika TV during a recent exclusive chat inside his hotel suite on his relationship with late African renowned Magician PROFESSOR MOSHOOD ABIOLA PELLER (Professor Peller) as his Public Relations Manager and how he left Peller Organization for a banking career at National Bank before going fully into entertainment business.

These are the kind of people you suppose to be interviewing. There are lessons to learn from people like these than going to all those Pastors with bitterness and envy. I enjoyed the interview.
Kudos for the struggle more grace
ASABE IS THE BEST JOURALIST IN NIGERIA !!!!
This is a very interesting interview, a digression from the usual monotonous interviews with Pastors.
Nobody can please the world….
What you're not enjoying, others are enjoying it….. Just play your part and leave the rest.
Asabe you get senses now for interviewing differently from your pastors interview.
Keep it up!
Very Interactive and engaging👍.
Waooo! this is awesome, Asabe has got huge sense of humor and I admire Mr. Jide Chords level of intelligence.
Asabe, good interview, but you talk and interject too much and that's why you lost consciousness about your tenses. " How did you felt when you heard Pella's death". Correct that please.
Today no matter your education level no job
Lovely interview…. keep it up 🐱🇧🇪
Wow interesting
This guy is a liar, he said 'I was the one that thought London Police' Does work for metropolitan Police, Where? I worked for police not like a Policeman but staff within the Police. We introduced the idea of respect from Africa not his book or him.
What an interesting interview…
Professor Peller… Truly grant an Interview with Baba Kunle Hamzat.. Father of Oriyomi Hamzat, First time I will be watching Professor Peller in a TV program, that is where he mentioned about his spiritual power & his Islamic differences, e.g , he do away from Voodoo, whenever he's praying to Allah , Hence, the evil perpetrators capitalize on it to execute their evil deeds…..
Asabe i can see you're enjoying the wine so much
Thumbs up for jide chord 😂 😆 😅
