Rural Dwellers In Ogun Assured Of More Social Amenities

The
Ogun State Government has reiterated its unwavering commitment to continuously
embark on projects that will boost socio –economic activities of the rural
dwellers across the State.

The
State Deputy Governor, who doubles as Commissioner for Ministry of Rural
Development, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga gave this indication during the grand
finale of the 29th Esure – Ijebu Day, in Ijebu East Local Government
Area of the State.

Mrs.
Onanuga emphasised that Senator Ibikunle Amosun – led Administration was
committed to the provision of basic amenities such as potable water, good roads,
electricity that would make life more meaningful for the rural dwellers and
also reduce rural – urban drift.
 “Our plan is to develop our rural areas to an
enviable standard, make life more meaningful for our people in the rural areas
even as we embark on renewal of the urban centres” she remarked.
The
Deputy Governor congratulated the Monarch, Oba Dr. Sansi, Jandu II, the Obelu
of Esure Ijebu, the Otunbas, Community Development Associations (CDAs), and the
entire Esure Community for the celebration and urged them to continually
support Senator Ibikunle Amosun led administration.
Earlier,
the Chairman of the occasion, Chief (Mrs.) Olufolake Ogunsola called on Esure
people at home and in diaspora to come home and contribute their quota to the
socio-economic development of the community, urging them to work together in
unity to achieve the  community set goals.
