The National
Woman Leader of the All Progressive Congress, Hajiya (Dr.) RamatuTijjani Aliyu has called on Muslim faithfull
across the country to use the moment of Eidel-Kabir to look inward as well
as to pray for God’s guidance upon our great leaders to lift the country out of
her present socio-economic predicaments.

praying for a divine intervention and today, we have it with the new leadership
at the top. But we still need help, our country must be totally liberated and
that is where our prayers and sacrifice are important. We should assume our
innate roles of being the voice of caution and reason in the society. Nigerian
Women should continually speak to the conscience of our husbands, brothers and
sons to remain upright and peace loving. This is a viable recipe for National
development. We should not just celebrate the festive season without praying.
As we go to Eid today, let us pray for a complete Change at the highest
levels of decision making in Nigeria. Millions of our people endure the daily
grind of poverty and misery. In the mist of plenty we remain empty. We should
pray for President Buhari and the
new teams of leaders that will help the new government re-direct the affairs of
the country”.
