What women did to me after losing my wife —Prophet Dr. T. A. Jegede | + Why I need to go the W.F. Kumuyi way…

The GDA speaks with Baba Ago

In this second part (Part 1 Published
on this blog earlier) of the 25th anniversary exclusive with Prophet (Dr.) Titus Adeniyi Jegede, the founder of Christ Apostolic Church,
Ago Adura Nla Ti Gbogbo Eniyan,
Lagos, your Africa’s number 1 Celebrity Encounter blog, Asabeafrika broke into the emotional gland of the great man of
God, making him to talk about his greatest shock in 25 years of ministry work
which is the losing of his wife of 30 years, Mama Olufunke Jegede last year to the cold hands of death. Baba Ago whose church is celebrating
her 25th years anniversary this coming Sunday April 24th
gave a vivid description of his thirty years romance with the woman who gave
him his elderly children and how she passed away at a time he was not
expecting, how he missed his meals for a while and things women did to him
after the demise of his wife. It is a very rich content for women who are
minister’s wives and new converts in Christian leadership. Enjoy the excerpts
on Asabeafrika.

Baba Ago to Asabeafrika…’I dont see anything wrong in taking the WF Kumuyi way as a king without a queen is useless’

Sir, which moment would you describe
as your saddest moment in 25 years of Ago Adura ministry?
Except when
my wife died last year, August 17; even at that, I still came to church to
worship God hours after her death. I said they should put her in the mortuary,
nobody knew. My congregation didn’t know. I was in the church for service it
was on the third day before people heard and the news went round. It was the
third day they got to know, that ‘is it
true?’
and I said ‘Yes, it is true’.
‘And you were praying?’ I said ‘Yes. What
should I do? God said I should not stay at home’.
So, that incidence nearly
shook me but by His grace I conquered. I was even the one serving people at her
funeral; I was the one arranging the chairs, going round to do so many things.
In fact the church can testify to you because we recorded it, I was the one
encouraging everyone.  So, that is one
singular happenstance in my 25 years of ministry life that people taught will
weaken me, the angels of hell taught it will weaken me but it was that time I
became more recharged because I am not standing low in my calling. I am
attentive to the details of the Holy Spirit.
How would you define your late wife?
You see, if
God says ‘it is time’ I cannot stop God’s timetable. She was a good woman. She
was a dutiful wife.

“I was a drummer in the choir at the
time; so, I consulted that friend of mine, I said ‘is this girl a good girl?
Can I marry her?’ he said ‘Oh, she is ok’ and he related my intention to her. I
waited for 3 months and the lady taught I was lying to her but later I sent
message to the mum and dad and they both sent for us”

Baba Ago’s late Wife

Was there any premonition that she
was going to die?
The signs I
saw were more than just a prophecy.  It
was not a prophecy that she will die but it will just be like warnings. Then,
if she sits and start talking to me, I will be asking myself ‘ah, ah, what is she saying again?’ I
wont respond, I will just keep quite because the spirit will caution me ‘Don’t respond, don’t respond’. So, I
will be calm. Those were the signs I saw at the period of her exit as if she
was made to put me under some form of pressure like ‘Beat her, beat her, and
beat her’ but I maintained my peace. I remained totally calm and it was after
her death that the spirit ministered to me again and said ‘you see, what of if you have gone ahead to respond with a fight and
she passed out, what will the world say? ‘Her time has come and she was on her
way home. I wanted to take her home’
. But that anger is like that of a
snake that lost her head and is now restless. That was how it was at the time.
So, God took the glory.

So, how is life without Mama?
You know,
any one God gives His mandate is automatically a peculiar person. God does not
call two people at the same time. I started the ministerial work in my late
wife’s presence and after her, God have continued to do His marvelous works
through me, even new things we couldn’t do before, we are now doing because God
said He is the author of my call.
How did you meet and fell in love
with her?
Yeah, we
were attending the same church; I was in the choir likewise herself.
You mean CAC Agbala Itura?
No, we had a
church we were attending in 1981, it was there we met and I had to send a
friend of mine to talk to her because I didn’t want to get it wrong with her. I
was a drummer in the choir at the time; so, I consulted that friend of mine, I
said ‘is this girl a good girl? Can I
marry her?’
he said ‘Oh, she is ok’
and he related my intention to her. I waited for 3 months and the lady taught I
was lying to her but later I sent message to the mum and dad and they both sent
for us. And we had our humble marriage then and began a new life till her last
day on earth. We met in the gospel and we married and lived our lives in the
gospel until God called her home.

Baba Ago to Asabeafrika…’The Death of my wife last August nearly shook me but God uphold me’

Kindly tell us her name and where she
hails from?
Her name is Olufunke the daughter of Pa Ishola Ayoola, she hails from Abeokuta,
Ogun State while I hail from Ilesa, Osun State.
How many years was your marriage with
her and what was the secret of the union?
We were
together for 31 years of marriage. You know I am a man of God so I was the one
in the public glare while she took care of the affairs of the home. Men of God
have been ordained and blessed with spiritual powers, nobody can harm us.  If she cooks my meal and it is not sweet, I
will say it is sweet. If it is sweet, I will still say it is sweet. If she
serves my meal, good, if she is not opportune to serve my meal, it is equally
good. So, we were together in both bad and good times and that was how we lived
together until she passed away. So, I thank God for her life.

Baba Ago to Asabeafrika…’Women came after me immediately my wife died but God directed towards a widow’

Why I need to re-marry…
Another famous man of God, Pastor W.F
Kumuyi of Deeper Life Bible Church was once in your shoes; he lost his wife but
married a widow after few months. Will you equally marry a new wife and how
soon?
Aaah!!! You
see, this work is not an ordinary work, it is the kind of divine call you get
from God that will direct your path. That is why the Bible advised us to stay
within God’s counsel. Immediately my wife passed away, there was nobody that
could cook my meal except her; another hand must not touch my meal and it has
been like that since thirty years. So, what do I do as a spiritualist? All our
children have gone to school and I cannot allow a house girl to be serving my
meal. So, I went to invite a male pastor to be cooking my meal. He came to my
house and he was cooking my meals but it was not like my wife’s skills. So, God
asked me to go search for another person. I asked my aides to help me search for
someone who can cook on facebook, I said they should keep
browsing till we get a perfect one but we soon discovered that all of them are
not up to the task. So, I waited. And I must not stop my work as a shepherd yet
there was no one to handle my meal. But God asked me ‘why are you disturbed.
You must get someone to handle your meals for you’. Instantly, God brought to
my knowledge the presence of a woman, she is also a widow. Her husband is
equally late and she is in her early 50s. I was instructed to talk to her and
immediately, I reached out to her people because she is also a member of the
church but her husband passed away four years ago. Immediately I told her
people, her mum said ‘I support your
move’
and the father said ‘Please,
take her away. I am in support’
. And I said ‘Ok, come and be my cook’ and to the glory of God she has made
things easy for me because if not for her, we only have a young maid at home
and I will always leave home until evening when I return. This lady is the only
one that can sit at home and cook for me when I return, I must not eat outside
and that is the reason why one must quickly take care of such aspect of one’s
life because there is no respect for a king without a queen.

“Immediately my wife passed away,
there was nobody that could cook my meal except her; another hand must not
touch my meal and it has been like that since thirty years. So, what do I do as
a spiritualist? All our children have gone to school and I cannot allow a house

meal. He came to my house and he was cooking my meals but it was not like my
wife’s skills”

Prophet
(Dr.) T. A. Jegede to Asabeafrika…’When my wife died i had problem
getting a good cook to cook my meals until God directed me to a widow’

How women came after me after my
wife’s demise…
What was the reaction from women in
the church when you found yourself in that situation?
That was the
reason why we had to pray because within the short space of time that my wife
passed away, I have seen several women who stood to me saying “Daddy, se kin ma’a bo, Daddy, daddy”
(Daddy, should I come?) and I will say “Ni
 Suuru”
(Be Patient) and that alone
made me feel strong, I was really surprised. That ‘Ah, ah? Awon eyan ma le ooo” (People are interesting) I said if
care is not taken this whole episode will lead to a controversy o and it might
become something that you press boys will start talking about. So, I said ‘No, I must quickly nip it in the bud’. So, immediately, after 43 days of
mourning my wife, I searched for this new woman to take over that strategic
role. That was how I survived that aspect of my ministry.

Prophet (Dr.) T. A. Jegede to Asabeafrika….’My Parent tagged me a liar anytime i gave prophecy as a kid’

That means if God asks you to marry a
new wife…?
(Cuts in)
Ah! If God instructs me to re-marry, nobody can tell me a contrary opinion
because the day she died and some people said ‘Ah, Baba, nobody goes to
church after such thing”
I said ‘But
God asked me to go and start praying’
I prayed till 9pm. She died on Monday
17th and on Wednesday (After dropping her body at the morgue on
Tuesday) I was here in this church praying fervently. Nobody knew my wife
passed away. I prayed from morning till 9pm and some people were even surprised
the way I conducted my prayers that day. But that is how God wants it. You
cannot wait  for ever because someone
must fill the vacuum, someone must keep cooking your meals, someone must handle
your private activities and when I seek the face of God, He said to me ‘Go and find someone that is reliable and Godly.’ God said ‘Don’t shed tears o, don’t shed tears for I
know about it’ and I called my
children and explained to them that God said ‘I should not mourn’. That all of you should go on with your
education; that was how we did it and when I wanted to burry her, God said ‘Make it a grand event, burry her like you
are burying your mum, make it a grand event’
and we did it and it was a
successful event. So, we must always look up to what God wants us to do not
what men think of us. I thank God for the calling.

Prophet (Dr.) T.A. Jegede aka Baba Ago, Founder, CAC, Ago Adura Nla Ti Gbogbo Eniyan

My happiest moments are…
What will you describe as your
happiest moment in ministerial work of 25 years?
Well, what
makes me happy is when God’s work is successful and people are getting victory
and making progress. Some very wretched ones who come into our ministry get a
turn around and they become blessed beyond their thinking. The barren becomes
happy mothers; in fact people that have been predicted to be scientifically
unable to bear children come here and they become mothers of many children.
That alone drives my adrenaline. It is my greatest joy because people come back
and give testimonies. Again, God do manifest through prophecies. If God says
‘this will happen, it will surely happen. So, if I say it out, it comes to
pass. Look at the 2015 Presidential election, I told my crowd of worshippers at
our Sango
Ota
praying ground, that God told me that ‘The Election will be Peaceful’ so, don’t run away’ and it happened
same way. I said ‘if Buhari becomes
President, he should not lay claims to his power but he should return glory to
God’,
I said If Nigerians pray, everything will happen peacefully and it
came to pass. Such things give me joy that I am not worshipping a dead God.

Prophet (Dr.) T.A. Jegede to Asabeafrika…’I told Nigerians that 2015 election will be peaceful and made it come to pass’

Yes, a lot of people were surprised
then that you were one of the very few prophets who said the election would be
peaceful and it was peaceful. How did you got the revelation?
But you are
interviewing a Prophet. We were actually having a divine prophetic crusade at
our Sango, Ogun state prayer land and God said to me ‘Declare it here’ and that I should warn Buhari not to think that it was by his power. So, I declared
because God said to me ‘I am the one that
stopped the political antagonism against Buhari, so, it is not by his power but
by My divine power’
, so, all these prophecies gives us joy that indeed, God
is with us in this journey. That is the only thing that drives me as a Church
Leader.

“I saw that vision but I didn’t tell
my parent. Later on, another good day in the midnight, I saw this same angel
came, my mum and I were in the room and the lantern in that room was turned
down to dim the light reflection in the room. I saw this strange being kneeling
and praying but I didn’t utter a word”.

I started seeing angels at age 7…
Did your parent have a Prophecy while
growing that you will be a great prophet someday?
Even my
father and mother were just going to church but they didn’t believe I will one
day be a prophet of God. The person they taught will be a prophet is my elder
brother. Because I was so quite as a child, if I see anything, I won’t say it
out. But right from age of 4 I have become clairvoyant. If I stand I will be
seeing things and when I clocked 7, I now saw the vision. I saw an Angel of God
singing around me, he was dancing round me. I saw that vision but I didn’t tell
my parent. Later on, another good day in the midnight, I saw this same angel
came, my mum and I were in the room and the lantern in that room was turned
down to dim the light reflection in the room. I saw this strange being kneeling
and praying but I didn’t utter a word. But as the angel was praying for about
15 minutes, if my mum wants to turn on the bed, the angel will disappear. I
didn’t talk and I kept seeing such strange beings from time to time but I
wouldn’t tell anybody or relate the scenario to anyone.  And my parent don’t evil believe me whenever
I say this things out and as a kid, I used to say things people wont believe
and my parent will call me “Oniro” (Liar). If they are looking for something in
the room, the spirit will tell me to tell them to go and search so-so place but
instead of them to believe, they will say ‘Oh,
you have come with you pranks again, you kept it there. How did you know the
thing is there?’
So, I was labeled a liar. I was a liar and even till I
grew up but today they will say ‘See the lies of those days have now become the
truth’ and for me, it is quite instructive and as well, interesting.
In fact sir, can we conveniently say
“Irodola” (Laughter)
Well,
because they see me as too young for the kind of things I see and say those
days. Nobody believes I could be so clairvoyant. It is quite interesting,
anyway. I return all glory to God.
Were you the last child?
Not really,
I am the third child. We are 8 in number but I am the number three.
What are those things you learnt from
your parent while growing up?
You know
people like me are always stubborn as kids. Yes, I was stubborn and I will be
beaten up seriously because our parents don’t understand the kind of spirit
living in us. So, they will beat me up and we all grew through what I call
parental cane. My dad and mum were passionate Christians; their fate was so
strong that till I grew up I didn’t know what is called syringe; I was never
taken to a hospital to take injection once. It will be holy water, if you are
ill, my parent will give you prayer water to drink and bath with and your
illness will go away. So, we grew through faith.
