Abuja based legal practitioner and Justice Campaigner, DR. OLUKAYODE AJULO revealed for the first time reason why he packed his car and came out to interrogate some Miyetti Allah cattle breeders who constituted a vigilante group on a popular highway in Ondo State, South West Nigeria while returning from an event early in the year.
Ajulo who is the Mayegun Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land and Baamofin Ile-Iwe of Akure land, all in Ondo state was alleged to have been kidnapped during that peculiar encounter with the herdsmen but it later turned out to be a hoax as pictures of the lawyer standing beside his G-Wagon Car with two of the herdsmen facing him surfaced on the internet.
Dr. Kayode Ajulo raised alarm on the illegal security scheme by the herders on a Yoruba southern state road and that led to reaction by the Ondo state Government.
The issue was later settled as real police and constitutionally recognized security agents took hold of the highway.
In this exclusive encounter inside his Castle of Law chambers, Maitama, Abuja, Dr. Ajulo, a former national secretary of the labour party revealed reasons why he raised the alarm and spoke on other related national security issues.
He spoke on the controversial RUGA policy and the infamous beating of former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu by suspected IPOB campaigners in far away Germany during a Yam festival.
