Chief Ezekiel Olasunmoye Fatoye, a Chartered Engineer and elder statesman is one of the founding fathers of telecommunication business in Nigeria.
He was a former Executive Director of the defunct Nigerian Telecommunications Limited (NITEL) before he went into private telecommunications business in 1996.
He has been in the business for the past 50 years and equally married to his beautiful wife, Madam Olusola Fatoye for half a century. .
Chief Fatoye could be described as the ‘godfather of modern day Nigeria Telecoms business’ with his co-founding of one of Nigeria’s leading CDMA technology, MULTILINKS in 1996 before the company was sold off to a South African company, TELKOM at the entry of Global System Mobile (GSM) technology in year 2001.
Fatoye, 81, hails from Gbongan, Osun State, South West Nigeria. He is not only an old member of the old generation of Nigerians who saw the early good old days but perhaps, one of the few lucky ones, still living to see the new but disrupted Nigeria of today.
Chief told us the secret of his 50 years romance with his beautiful wife, Madam Olusola Fatoye during a recent encounter inside his VGC, Lagos home.
He shared his opinion on marriage, tolerance, love and partnership.
He equally told us why his wife is extraordinarily special to him, and how she kept him in love for 50 years.
