23 Qualify From Goldberg Fuji T’o Bam Auditions at Ota

After
a rigorous and highly competitive contest, 23 contestants – out of the hundreds
that turned out – have scaled the first hurdle at the 3rd edition of Nigeria’s
number one Fuji music talent hunt show, Goldberg Fuji T’o Bam held in Ota, Ogun
State. They will now progress to the selection stage of the show which is
billed for Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital in May, 2015.

Speaking
onbehalf of the winners, Lady FunmilayoAduniexpressed her delight at the power
of thinking behind Fuji T’o Bam talent show. She said it is not a common idea
for brands and corporate organization to identify with Fuji music in Nigeria.
She thus applauded Nigerian Breweries Plc and Goldberg lager beer for giving
upcoming Fuji artistes the platform to achieve their dreams.  She pledged her readiness to be crowned the
Wura 1 of Fuji at the grand finale of the show in Ibadan.

Another
competitor, Adewole Anobi, commended Goldberg for blazing the trail and settingthe
pace for other brand in its category to follow. “With this show, Goldberg has
written its name in gold for Fuji music, artistes, fans and other stakeholders
who will forever remember the brand.”  He
added that the activation is unique, especially with level of assessment by the
judges and motivation by the celebrities at the audition.
It would be
recalled that,
Mr. KufreEkanem, the Corporate
Affairs Adviser of Nigerian Breweries Plc
had explained during the kickoff of the
competition that it will take place across key cities in South West Nigeria with
notable Yoruba actors, like Sanyeri, KamiluKompo, Mr. Latin and OdunladeAdekola
gracing the event from the quarter final to the grand finale stages.
In addition to the Ota auditions, others will
hold in Ibadan, Oshogbo, and Akure. Identified talents from the auditions will
later converge in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital for the final selection of 30
contestants that will proceed to the quarter final at Ota, Ogun State.
Ilesha in Osun State will host the semi-final.
The grand finale which will hold in Ibadan will be an exciting life changing
experience for the finalists.
Mr. KufreEkanem added that Fuji music enjoys huge
followership, especially in the south Western partof Nigeria, which has led the
brand to create the platform “to connect and engage target consumers.” The
music genre, he pointed out, thus provides a credible platform for
the brand to get closer to them and share their interest and culture.
Fuji T’o Bam is an indigenous music
activation
platform of Goldberg
which has in the last two editions led to the discovery of budding Fuji
talents.
