How we made cool millions in Oba Elegushi’s Imperial City Promo—Winners

The Winner of the Grand Prize, Saheed Lawal with with wife, Funmilayo, kids, Goodness & Mercy poses with the Elegushi of Ikate Land, His Royal Majesty Oba Saheed Elegushi (KING GUSHI)

Thursday November 24th,  2016 marked the beginning of a new life
in the lives of some lucky Nigerians who won jackpots in the ongoing Imperial City Promo campaign from
various parts of the country as they were converged in the ball room of the
highbrow Radisson Blue Hotel, Ozumba
Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island—Lagos and handed over their various winnings.
Winning of lotto jackpots all over
the world is often marked with a rare degree of excitement and at times,
confusion as many often take it as a ruse before reality sets in at the point
of delivery. For the various winners of money and material gifts at the event,
it was first like a dream before the reality hits them like a strong wind, that
indeed, their lives has changed forever. One of them is the 32 years old winner
of a land worth N42 million Naira, Mr.
Saheed Lawal
from Ijebu-Igbo—Ogun State (South West Nigeria) who came down
to Lagos to redeem his prize with his wife, Oluwafunmilayo and two lovely kids, Goodness & Mercy.
(What the mystery on earth that will make a man christen his kids Goodness
& Mercy?).
For Lawal, the only way to show his gratitude for such a life worthy
opportunity was to burst into tears midway our encounter with him inside his
hotel room somewhere in Ikeja before leaving for Victoria Island venue of
presentation.
The Imperial City Promo is a new campaign where thousands of Nigerians
win lands and cash prizes every week from the 17th of November, 2016
to the last day of December, 2016. It is an innovation of Channel Drill Resources Ltd in conjunction with the Elegushi Royal Family of Lagos as part
of developmental project of the Imperial International business city. To
participate, all you need do is purchase a N500 ticket from any Golden Chance Lotto agent across
Nigeria or Winners Golden Bet shop
or better still, through quickteller or GTBank-737 or any other veritable
platform associated with the campaign. An electronic raffle draw will pick winners and they will be rewarded instantly at a public presentation.

Pa Aina Williams the brand New Millionaire from Ile-Oluji
I thought I was about to be kidnappedAina Williams from Ile-Oluji
Mrs. Ife Fashola of Kedari Capital hands over a Million Naira cheque to Aina Williams from Ile-Oluji as Mr. Fisayo Kay of Inter-Switch looks on
One of the
winners of the Imperial City Promo is 49 years old Mr. Aina Williams from Ile-Oluji
in Ondo State. Aina Williams who is an
electrician by training told Asabeafrika that he also shuttles
other three activities like painting of homes, lotto management and others to
earn his living. However, it was his commitment to a lotto terminal given to him
to manage by a friend that eventually gave him his one million Naira
breakthrough. He told us the story of how he won.  “I think my story is a miracle. I am an
electrician by training and I do other three jobs among which is the management
of a lotto terminal.  In fact, I was
holding forth for the person who owns the terminal where I won. It is part of
my survival strategy, whenever I return from my work in the evening, I operate
the terminal and stake as well.  On the
day I staked the number that got me a million Naira, people were already
waiting for me to stake. But on getting there, I said ‘let me do mine before
answering them but by the time I set up the terminal, the day was almost gone
because it was in the evening. However, I insisted I must play my own first and
that was what I did. Well, that action turned out to be my miracle”.

Aina Williams and another winner gets their One Million Naira Money Prize

Mr.
Willians
explained in details what he meant “I said my case is a big
miracle because when I operated the terminal and that number popped out I was
confused because the owner of the terminal had warned me not to play that
particular number, that if I play it, he will be angry with me. But all the
same, I said, ‘God’s wish will prevail’ and that was how I played that number
with a heart of faith, it turned out to be the last game of the day. Few days
later, information came that I won a million naira. I was so happy and confused
at the same time. In fact, when they called to inform me that I won, I didn’t
believe it was true. When I finally met Golden Chane agents and they
arranged a car bringing me to Lagos, I first looked inside the vehicle,
wondering if I am not being kidnapped. Since I got to Lagos yesterday, I am
still in doubt until I saw you ( this blogger) now that I started to build
confidence. I just discovered that my dream has come to pass and it is not a
trick. I am so surprised because these days,
we have devious characters like 419s and kidnappers in the society. But
on getting here and I learnt a young man even won a land worth N42 million, I
said ‘ah, ah, this must be reality. I couldn’t believe a young man could win a
land worth N42 million and when I saw a lady sitting beside me that equally won
five hundred thousand Naira, I told myself that ‘this thing is reality’.

Aina Williams who promised to invest his One
million Naira wisely and if possible go into trade added  “The whole thing is just like a dream to me
because I have never  ever worked to earn
a million naira in my entire life. I am an electrician by training and I also
engage in three other works. I paint house, I do electrical jobs, there is no
job you call me to do that I cannot do. But now, maybe God is trying to tell me
that working hard is not equal to having money. That is how it is. I thank God
for His mercy upon my life”
The elderly Mr. Williams
who is a member of the Redeemed Christian
Church of
God promised to first
pay his tithe before utilising the remaining fund “By God’s grace. In fact that
is the first thing in my heart. I will pay my tithe. Even before I started
coming down to Lagos, I met my pastor and that was what we discussed. I said to
my Pastor ‘sir, this thing could be true but all the same I need your prayer’.
In fact, my pastor even called and prayed for me when I was in the car”.

Mr. Aina Williams from Ile-Oluji in Ondo State won a million Naira

Aina Williams, who is married to a wife and only had
a child (son) gave kudos to Golden Chance Lotto, describing the
platform as a very objective oneThe
good thing about Golden Chance is that you are paid instantly if you win their
game. In fact I am even one of those who pay people instantly when they win at
my station. Once they say they win and I see their ticket number, I will just
pay them from my pocket. If the man who put me there returns I will tell him
‘see this ticket, it has won I have paid the money, please, re-inburse’ me and
he will re-inburse me. We have other lotto companies where I have staked and
they refused to pay me and it nearly turned to a big fight until they were
forced to pay me fully after several fights. I don’t want to mention their
names. But Golden Chance is never like that, they pay instantly and that
is what makes them different from others” concluded the Ile-Oluji, Ondo state base
Golden Chance millionaire.
Victoria Tope Owosho from Oshogbo won N500k
I am giving my money to Dad & MumTope Owosho, N500K
winner
Victoria  Temitope Owosho, from Oshogbo in Osun State  and a student of Federal Polytechnic, Offa is one of those who won Five
hundred thousand Naira. She told Asabeafrika how she joined the lucky
crowd of the Imperial City Promo “I
just saw an advertisement about the Imperial
City Lotto
campaign because I always play lotto, I play one thousand naira,
I play a lot and I have won twelve thousand Naira in the past. So, I now played
the Imperial City Lotto and I kept
calling the lotto agent to know about the number I staked because I know I will
win”. We asked why she was so confident that she was going to win and she
re-confirmed “I know, my mind always tell me I will win”. Tope continued  “So, the agent later called me that I won Five
hundred Thousand  Naira and I was
overwhelmed. I was very excited and till now I cant explain my level of
excitement”.

Tope Owosho, the Student who won N500K with other winners

On weather
she is in a relationship and if her man is aware she just won a jackpot, Tope
answered in the affirmative “Yes, I am in a relationship but not married. I am
a student and I still live with my parent. He is aware I won”. Tope
shocked this blogger when we asked if she was going to give her man the money,
hear her response “I am giving the money to my parent. I will give them
N400,000 out of the money to invest with”

Tope Owosho gets her N500K cash

Why is Tope giving
the entire 80% of her winning to her parent ? “They are responsible for my
education and I think they deserve the money than anyone else. I want them to
invest the money so that they can continue to sponsor my education”. “I am their
second child and first daughter, we are four in mumber (2 boys and 2 girls). I
think giving the money to my parent will go a long way to  boost their human ability to help I and my
sibblings further in our education”.
Tope who is a member of Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura,
promised to pay her N50,000 tithe and
use the balance of the jackpot which is N50,000
for her own private use “I will be using the balance to purchase more books for
my studies” she enthused.
On what she
taught of Golden Chance Lotto, Tope gave kudos to the organization
“I will only say this thing is real. I have tasted it and it has worked for me.
Today I am at Golden Chance office to receive my five hundred thousand naira
and I am glad that it is real. From my winning moment to my earning moment it
has been a reality galore”.
Saheed Lawal, the man who won N42 Million Naira Worth of Land
How I won a landSaheed Lawal
Speaking to Asabeafrika
inside his hotel room somewhere in the heart of Ikeja before he was moved
in a convoy of three  cars to Victoria Island for the grand event on
Thursday November 24th, Saheed Lawal, the winner of the
grand prize of a land worth N42Million Naira in Lekki shared his grass-to-grace
story with this blog. “It is quite surprising because that particular day I was
with my younger brother when I played the game, I had nothing on me. The last
money on me was just N500 and I had
borrowed the money from someone to take care of my private needs. But all the
same, I had an urge to stake out of the money. Where I played the game (At
Ijebu-Igbo-Haruna Junction) I had wanted to stake just N200 out of the N500 but
somehow, the machine brought out N500 as the price for the game I played. I was
furious but it was my younger brother who enlightened me that it was not the
normal lotto we play. That it is a promotional lotto (Imerial City Promo),
that even if I pressed  N1
on the game, it will print out N500 as that is the standard price
for the game; and the lotto agent  said I
must pay because that was what the number I played brought out.

Mr. Oluwafemi James Adejuwon, MD/CEO, SCOOBA Lotto Agency takes a pose with the Millionaire Couple, Mr. & Mrs. Lawal

I felt so
uncomfortable dropping the entire N500 on me because both my wife and kids at
home had nothing to eat that very night and we relied on that money (N500). I
had calculated that if I can stake just N200 I will have a balance of N300 and
that could take us through the night until I get a job to do the next day. When
I returned home and told my wife how the game charged my entire money, she
became very angry and I had to plead with her that night because truly, truly,
that money was our very last card. We were still recuperating from the shock
when I got a call from a customer (Baba Gafo) to come and do a painting job in Ibadan. So, I left Ijebu-Igbo for Ibadan.

A call from Golden Chance…
“On getting
to Ibadan, the contractor said he was
not going to give me the job again. Mind you, when I was leaving Ijebu-Igbo,
I borrowed the money for my transport to Ibadan
from my wife. So, that was the last money that took me to Ibadan with the hope that, after working, I will be rich enough to
transport myself back to Ijebu-Igbo.
But it was a wrong calculation; the contractor said he was not going to give me
the job any longer. I became very depressed but thank God for Baba
Gafo
, he tried his best and made sure I got another deal which kept me
in Ibadan for days. Unknown to me,
Golden Chance
has been looking for me in Lagos after the raffle draw brought out my number as winner of the
grand prize. They managed to reach out to my wife through their agent in Ijebu-Igbo
telling her to inform me about the new development. They didn’t give
full details, initially. They only told her to look for me that my attention is
needed urgently. She began to call my phone but it didn’t go through because my
battery was down and there was no means to get across to my wife as well. It
was a very tedious one for her. She tried severally not until I went to charge
my phone somewhere in Ibadan.

In fact, I kept it there. I
went to collect the phone later in the day and immediately I switched on the
phone, it was my wife’s message that popped in. I said ‘ok, let me call this woman’ and immediately I called her phone,
she shouted angrily at me saying ‘How
will you just go on a journey and switch off your phone? Why do you behave like
this?’
. Then she said again ‘How
about the ticket you played the other time that you said you mistakenly played
with your last money?’
. I said ‘oh,
it is in my younger brother’s shop’
. In fact, my younger brother didn’t
even know where I kept the ticket inside his shop. I was the one who now
directed my wife to the exact spot I hid the ticket and she got the ticket
there. Still, she didn’t tell me what the fuzz was all about.

So, I called her
back and said ‘Why are you asking me about the ticket?’.
She now told me everything, that my brother was called from Golden
Chance
that someone staked a lotto number from his shop. I said ‘so, what did they say about the ticket?’.
She said ‘they have not said anything
than the fact that the person has won a jackpot but they didn’t tell her the full details of the money’.
I said ‘ok, I am returning to Ijebu-Igbo
now’ and that was how I left Ibadan and returned to Ijebu-Igbo.  The next day, I visited Golden Chance office and
they just told me to go get dressed up, that we are going to Sagamu (Zonal office). I said ‘Sagamu? But, I don’t have money on me
o, or is it the little money I brought home yesterday that I will start
spending to Sagamu again?’
. It was at that junction that I was informed
about my jackpot. They said ‘You won a fortune’. I asked them, ‘what kind of fortune?’ and they said ‘a land worth forty-two million Naira’.
I was dazed. I said ‘No, that cannot be true. It is a lie’. But when I saw
their reaction and the way they quickly released twenty thousand naira for me that I should use that for
transportation, I began to take them serious. Yesterday, when we arrived here
(Lagos) and we were welcomed and entertained, I became overwhelmed with joy. I
mean, I have never experienced this kind of thing in my life and I never knew
it could happen to me. To be very honest with you, I never expected it to turn
out like this”

felt after reality dawned on her that he won
Yes, my wife was angry that night but
on getting to see the result, she became happy because God is merciful. God is
indeed merciful to us”.
When he got
to Ibadan
to earn a living for his family, a contractor turned him down rejecting his
services, is the contractor aware of his new status? We asked “I don’t think
so, maybe he will read it in the news and watch it on the television but I am
very grateful to Baba Gafo (The man who bailed him out with another job) because
he was very kind to me that day. He showed me kindness and today I thank God
for setting me on a new slate entirely”. Lawal broke into tears as he
couldn’t curtail his excitement any longer.

Why Golden Chance Lotto is different—Marketing Manager
Mr. Femi Akioye of Channel Drill Resources Ltd with one of his executives
Giving her
words to the winners, Mrs. Adepeju Akinbiyi, the Marketing
Manager of Golden Chance Lotto who was at the event said  “I am happy for them, because the brain
behind the entire promo, Channel Drill Resources Ltd, their
representative Mr. Femi Akioye said something during the media lunch,he said
even though the entire exercise is for Corporate Social Responsibility, he
prayed to God that this (exercise) should touch lives. Golden Chance is a very,
very fortunate organization. Our name really speaks for us. Because as the man
prayed, God enabled Golden Chance to make that platform available and the real
people that the promoters wanted won, the ordinary people won cash and landed
properties. So, I thank God for Golden Chance for making this
platform available for the winners, I am really, really happy for everyone who
has won”.

Mrs. Ife Fashola of Kedari Capital with MC, Elegbete 1

On why Golden
Chance
took the pain to be sincere enough to locate the real winners
unlike other mushroom betting agencies, Mrs. Akinbiyi gave a response “Because that is the hallmark of Golden Chance Lotto. That is our
hallmark, sincerity of purpose. Being transparent, that is all Golden Chance Lotto is all about. And
our slogan says ‘Your surest way to be a
millionaire’
. So, if God has made you a millionaire through Golden Chance
Lotto, so, be it. We would look for you and hand over your winnings to you”.

should invest wisely because now, fair weather friends will surface. They
should invest wisely, God has made this possible for them, let them use it
wisely”
