monitored PZ Cussons activities around the profession and it has become clear
that the company from all its activities has been in the forefront of bringing
to the consciousness of Nigerians the importance of chemistry to our everyday

Ifaturoti further explained
the award is a way to encourage us to do more, as we focus on creating awareness
for the important role chemistry
plays in our everyday life. She said the company
decided to focus on the subject because “chemistry
is everywhere; the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we
eat, are all functions of Chemistry.”

She regretted that many youths
nowadays are moving away from sciences and going to art subjects because they
think science is difficult, saying that when students are afraid of a
particular subject, the task falls on the teacher and all concerned
stakeholders to join hands to find exciting ways of teaching the subject.
