Ex-Commander-In-Chief, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo….Surprised at Oluwo’s Conduct with Chief Abiola Ogundokun

The Oluwo of Iwo Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi
had announced on Sunday April 30, 2017  that he has stripped the eminent Politician
and elder statesman, High Chief Abiola Ogundokun off his
titles of Bashorun Musulumi of Iwo Land  which is an Islamic title and Otun Balogun of Iwo land (Which he
substituted with the title of OBANLA of Iwo land on January 8, 2017).

 Oba Akanbi claimed that Chief
Ogundokun
was rude to him at a public event which the Chief has since
denied. The High Chief who is one of the Oba’s sponsors and benefactors claimed
that Oluwo
became hostile to him when he advised the youtful Oba against some
misguided royal conducts of taking monies from several indigenes who want to
take chieftaincy titles from him, only to give same title to his favorite after
taking money from many others. A situation which led to someone dying in the
past with  the family bringing the corpse
to taunt the Oba in the palace.

Chief Ogundokun also claimed that he scolded the
youtful Oluwo over some hooliganistic
acts which includes sodomy, heavy drinking and other nefarious behaviors that
is unbecoming of his status as a first class Oba.

The Oluwo has also court controversy with
other traditional rulers in Osun
state among which are the Oluwo of Iwo
Oke
, Oba Kadiri Adeoye, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) and the Olubadan of Ibadan land among many others.

Ogundokun sued Oluwo last month over  some silly statements the Oba made on his person and threats to his life and stripping of his
title of Basorun Musulumi which he
earned some forty years ago from the Muslim Community in Iwo and other district in Osun
West Senatorial zone
among other titles given to him for his humanitarian
gestures in Iwo land, Osun State and Nigeria.
