Odogbolu Constituency Fallout: Facebook fans salute D-One for rare leadership | Says “He is the face of great leadership in Nigeria”

It
is no longer news that World Famous TV host and On-Air-Personality
extra-ordinary, Otunba Dayo Adeneye famously known as D1 made a last minute exit from the
Ogun state APC Primaries last week courtesy of overriding decision by the
leadership of the party in Odogbolu.  D-one who was contesting a seat to
represent his Odogbolu constituency at the state house of assembly come 2015
was allegedly asked to step down by local leadership of the party in Odgogbolu
Local Government Area of Ogun state.

However, the sportsmanship attitude displayed
by the United Nations’ ambassador for peace is one thing many Nigerians found
very unique. In a press statement posted on his facebook page last week, D-One had made the following facts
known about his relationship with the leadership of the party, All Progressive Congress in Ogun state
and why he will remain with the party despite his loss at the poll. In the
statement he started that:

¨
I remain a loyal party man and respecter of the highest
principle of my great party, APC.
¨
That the party is bigger than individual interest but rather
greater through our collective interest.
¨
That my interest in the party remain strong with the biggest
ambition to ensure that my governor, Senator
Ibikunle Amosun
(FCA, MON) returns as the Governor of Ogun state come 2015
and,
¨
My party, APC wins the presidential election comes February
14, 2015.
D-One continued “At this point, I want to acknowledge
the supports of every one, family, friends, well wishers and mentors who
supported us with their time and efforts during the campaign period. I want to
assure all of you that I will continue to promote and exhibit the qualities,
principles and doctrine of our great party All
Progressive Congress
which seeks to CHANGE the game of leadership for the
benefit of all Nigerians in 2015.”
“Finally, my thanks to all Nigerians and my fans all over the
world for the tremendous support they have given and continue to give me. I
assure you here with the words of the late Vince
Lombardi
that “I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour—his greatest fulfillment
to all he holds dear—is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a
good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle—victorious”
Since these words hit D-One’s face book page on Friday,
December 5th many of his friends and fans from all over the world have kept
pouring encomium on him for his political maturity. This blog monitored the
commendation and encomium and presents you few eligible views. Enjoy!

political maturity  “D1 your character
defined you and placed you on a platform to be loved and valued by many. It
will continue to be tested by many. It will continue to be tested by what seems
like failures to determine if it’s real or a camouflage. A leader’s safety is
in guiding his character. Your statement has confirmed you have a noble
leadership character and that is your ace. Your passion will find expression
where it will matter most. Keep calm and remain D1”

 a “do-or-die-affair”.
Your time will come”.
Chinedu Ugwu added his views “You are
a great guy. He who does not stand for something falls for something”
