Gov. Ibikunle Amosun |
Many who are
familiar with Ronke Sokefun will
know that she has come a long way in her career. From her early days of M.P
Ohwovoriole &Co. to Ighodalo and Associations, Aluko & Oyebode and
later Oando Plc, where she resigned
as the chief Legal Officer after
four years: she has exhibited a resilience that a lot of women would be envious
of.

Even her break up from her former husband, Gbenga Sokefun, does not seem to take away this virtue from her.
The former socialite who left her high flying job at Oando Plc to join the government of Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Started out as a special Adviser to the Governor
in 2011 before becoming the commissioner for Agriculture in 2012 Well the good news emanating
from her camp is that while some of her counterparts may not be returning as commissioners on account of the
governor’s discretion, Ronke will be
returning as a commissioner, perhaps in another ministry. Two weeks ago, the
governor sent the commissioner nominees to the
State House of Assembly for screening and Ronke who comes from Yewa
North, scaled through easily.
