Today, Saturday July 22, 2017, around 11 am, a building on NO 7, Seidu Okeleji street in Araromi area of Meiran (Agbado-Oke Odo LCDA, Lagos State, South West Nigeria) collapsed and killed a woman and her daughter. The building which was an additional structure to an old 10 rooms (face-me-i-face-you structure (at the back) is said to have been seated on a wrong foundation as the landlord was determined to commercialize every space in the compound.
The building collapsed after the early morning down pour. It trapped a lady and her two kids (boy 5 years and Girl, 2 years old). While officials of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) who arrived the spot shortly were able to pull out the two kids and administered treatment on them via LASAMBUS, the mother was unlucky as she was stacked in the debris.
One of the child, a 2 years old later passed away.
The woman (whose name is yet to be known) was pulled out dead, four hours later with the help of the Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) whose boss, Mr. Tunji Disu help to disperse the crowd to enable emergency officials do their work.

The woman whose skull was smashed on a concrete in the debris was brought out dead. The building has since been sealed up in the presence of various security agencies including LASEMA, RRS, LASAMBUS and the Red Cross among many others.
Nollywood Actor, Dele Fagboyo and some residents were responsible for the prompt arrival of security agencies.
