OGSG Calls For More Media Support

Ogun State Government has called on Media Organisations, both
Print and Electronic to support its rebuilding mission by projecting its
programmes and policies aimed at making lives more meaningful for the people.
The
State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Adedayo Adeneye who
disclosed this during a courtesy visit to DAAR Communications, owner of African
Independent Television (AIT), Ray Power and Faaji FM in Lagos said the State
Ministry of Information would be transparent in providing necessary information
on Government’s activities.

Adeneye
said the media play an important role in showcasing Government, adding that
without their support, information on Government’s activities would not be
adequately disseminated to the citizens especially those in the rural areas.

 ‘’We really count on media
support to achieve our goals and aspirations and as Government, we promise to
promote more mutual beneficial relationship with the media so that the citizens
of our dear State will be duly inform on Government’s plans and missions’’, he
said.
He however promised that Government would not shy
away from promoting mutual understanding that would benefit the two parties,
saying that Government would be more responsive in sustaining the relationship.
Earlier in his remarks, the Managing Director (MD), DAAR
Communications, Dr. Kenny Ogungbe, welcomed the Commissioner on behalf of all
Staff of the Organisation, congratulated him on his new appointment and
promised a good working relationship with the Ogun State Government.
 ‘’We would
do everything within our capacity to support you and project activities of
Senator Ibikunle Amosun led administration. AIT is your primary constituency,
so you can always count on us for support’’ he said.
The
Director, Radio Services, Mr Ambrose Somide in his remarks appreciated the
Commissioner for the visit, assuring him of a better working relationship.
