Ogun Government Commended On Homeowners’ Charter Programme
The Ogun State Head of Service, Elder Olusola Adeyemi has
commended the concept of the Homeowners’ Charter programme policy of Senator
Ibikunle Amosun led administration which encouraged all property owners to have
titled documents of their property.

Elder Adeyemi made this known during the presentation of 1,000 C
of O and Building Plan Approval to beneficiaries at the Arcade Ground,
Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
He
noted that the scheme have been applauded even outside the State, “Apart from
ensuring that appropriate title documents are obtained at a very good discount,
the State Government, through this lofty programme has generated both direct
and indirect employment for our teeming youths who have been engaged at various
stage of the programme” he said.
The
HoS further assured all other applicants on the waiting list not to exercise
unnecessary apprehension, promising that they would not be denied their title
documents once they are not in contravention with planning regulations.

Earlier in his remarks, Commissioner for Urban and Physical
Planning, Chief Adebola Adeife said the programme has provided window of
opportunity for eligible applicants to obtain title documents while all
penalties and fines normally associated with illegally built property are waved
while documentation requirements have also been relaxed.
Speaking
on behalf of the beneficiaries, HRH, Oba Emmanuel Olukayode Fagbemi, the
Elekota of Kota-Ekiti said the programme was a very welcome development, noting
that the Homeowners’ Charter Scheme has made it easy to obtain C of O and
Building Plan Approval in Ogun State.
